Hi All! So far this has been an awesome summer! I hope you have been relaxing and enjoying your summer too! I’ve been working on a new series of Carrier Phrase-Create a Story Boards. R Blends is completed and published to TPT. Lip Sounds, Palatal Sounds, Velar Sounds, Tongue Tip Sounds, L Blends and S Blends are coming soon. I had the pleasure of helping a 5 year old who experienced Cluster Reduction and phoneme collapse. Phoneme Collapse is when you substitute one sound for many! My student successfully handled several sounds at one time. We played with manipulatives and games and paired with movement and visuals. Thanks to those who provided FEEDBACK for the R Blend set. HERE’S ONE MORE STRATEGY I WANTED TO SHARE…..I am also working with a 7 year old who exhibits SSD. I only have about 4 weeks to help him before he heads back to school. We are working on S blends. He responded nicely to a combo of S Blending & Orthographics. What are your thoughts? I am happy to send you the first 4 pages UPON REQUEST. Still working on it!
