Hi All! 2021 is almost over. Can you believe it? Did it go quickly for you or slowly? For me it was an eye blink!! I’m doing my best to slow things down but everything just seems to be moving so much faster! Below you will find 2 new freebie handouts I’ve created for you…click on the image to download. I love toys and games put mildly. I am actually obsessed with toys and games! I had a school supply - specialty toy store for 22 years along with my consult work with several schools. I miss buying toys. Once in a while I go back into NYC during Toy Fair at Jacob Javitz and check out new product. Anyway these 2 lists are some of my favorite toys and games for Early Learners - NO BATTERIES. If you would like suggestions for older or need a further explanation on a toy just drop me a line! I have read so many posts in which SLP's are not happy with their job. I just wanted to let you know that experience at one job will help you obtain skills for your next job. I have had several positions throughout the years (was at my first job for 7 1/2 years) and am so happy I had the opportunity to work with early intervention, preschool challenges, adults, elementary , HS and private practice - 45 years worth! In the midst of it all I even pursued my dream of being the owner of a School Supply Specialty Toy store for 22 years and a Manager of Preschool Therapies for 7 years. It's been a good run. I'm semi-retired now and am hoping to share reflections of positive thoughts and inspiration!
