Spring Multi-syllables has 42 cards with one to 4-syllable words. It is a phonological awareness activity in which the student says the word and then can figure out how many syllables ,e.g. counting the flowers, tapping a finger on the table or hand, beating a drum, etc. This is a nice warm-up activity to encourage listening. It is also a great activity for speech sound sequencing. An added extra - check out all the plurals in this boom set.

Just in case you missed it in my last BLOG…I created screeners for 2 of my most popular checklists - WH Question Hierarchy and Language Hierarchy. I use these for every preschooler I work with because it provides me with a basic understanding of their skills and it helps me write my reports - I send the Language Hierarchy chart to the school districts along with the report. I hope you find it helpful too! I created these products to make my life easier and in turn helping you find quicker ways to informally assess your students.
S blending uses techniques of segmenting the S sound then blending the semantic symbol with S to create the S blend word. Back chaining is saying the second part of the word first and then adding S.
